What is this all about?
Hi there. I’m Anton. For the last 8 years, I’ve been doing software development at multiple companies, from startups to enterprises, and, during that time, I had a chance to work on a diverse set of assignments as well as to be on both sides of the interviewing table.

What I often heard people say was “I was going to prepare for an interview”, but what I never heard them say was “I was going to prepare for a job”. I believe this is the cause of an expectation disconnect that oftentimes happens when someone is being hired as a software engineer. It’s not rare to see the industry not interviewing people for the required on-the-job skills, and rather pushing for a template coding interview that has little to do with the actual job. Some companies attempt to fix that which unfortunately results in 8 hours+ unpaid take-home assignments. Imagine the amount of total effort to build and assess such work…

Having all that in mind, I built CoreSkills to help both candidates and companies effectively and efficiently figure out whether there is a match between them via using real-world technical interview assignments.
